Fighting in Photos: Deric Davis stops Jamal Johnson in one round

BROOKLYN – It did not take long for Deric “Scooter” Davis to register his 6th win of his pro career as he knocked down Jamal Johnson twice en route to a stoppage victory. He maintains a perfect record with all of his wins by way of knockout.

Johnson was coming into this bout undefeated but he was no match for the native of Fort Washington, Maryland as Davis showed that he was the faster and sharper fighter within the first minute. After scoring the first knockdown at the 1:50 mark of the round, Davis followed that up with a barrage of punches, capped off with a left hook that sent Johnson back to the canvas. While Johnson did get up before the count of 8, referee Ricky Gonzalez felt that he was not able to continue.
