Daniel Blancas faces Raul Saloman on Benavidez-Zurdo fight card
Undefeated super middleweight Daniel Blancas will have his first bout of the year on May 2nd in Las Vegas as he takes on Raul Saloman at the top of the PBC on Prime Video lineup, preceding the five fights that will be shown on Pay Per View which is headlined by David Benavidez vs Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez. Two more fights will be shown live through PBC on Prime Video as Juan Carillo faces Marlo Delgado, and Dylan Capetillo will have his second pro bout on the telecast.
Blancas (14-0, 7 KOs) hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has been part of the camp with David Benavidez over the past few years. In 2025, Blancas got a decision win over previously undefeated Juan Barajas before knocking out Kwame Ritter and William Townsel. He turned pro in 2022 after competing in the amateur ranks.
“I’m honored to be headlining on Prime Video on May 2nd,” said Blancas. “This is an incredible card and I can’t wait to give the fans an exciting fight and show my skills. This is gonna be a great night on Cinco de Mayo weekend.”
Salomon (16-3-1, 14 KOs) is from Ciudad Morelos, Baja California, Mexico and is unbeaten in his last five fights. While a majority of his fights have taken place in his home country he does have experience in the US as he has fought eight times stateside. His three defeats were by decision to fighters with a combined record of 36-1-1.
“I’m very prepared for May 2nd,” said Salomon. “I really feel like I belong in this position and I’m eager to show everyone that this is just the beginning for me.”
The matchup between Juan Carrillo and Marlo Delgado pits two former Olympians against each other in an 8 round bout at light heavyweight. Carrillo (14-0, 10 KOs) represented Colombia in the 2016 Summer Games before turning pro. He is ranked in the WBC and wants to build on his first round knockout win last year over Cristian Andres Pena. The 33 year old knows how good Delgado could be but believes his skills will be the difference.
“Marlo Delgado is a tough fighter, and I respect anybody who steps in the ring, but I see openings in his style that I’m gonna take advantage of,” said Carrillo. “I’m coming into this fight with a chip on my shoulder and ready to fight like everything is on the line, because it is. Fans can expect action. I’m not here to coast. I’m here to dominate and make it clear I’m a problem in this division.”
Delgado (8-0, 6 KOs) was in the 2012 Olympics for Ecuador, and had a period of inactivity before scoring a win last November in his home country. As a amateur he has stepped in the ring with the likes of Terrell Gausha, Christian Mbilli, Endry Saavedra and Dmitry Bivol. The 32 year old is excited to be part of the card on May 2nd
“This is the kind of opportunity I need to prove that I’m ready for the next level,” Delgado said. “This is going to be a really exciting fight between two Olympians who want to be world champion. I can’t wait to work my hardest to steal the show.”
Dylan Capetillo (1-0, 1 KO) will open the PBC on Prime telecast as he is weeks removed from his pro debut that took place on April 11th. He stopped Jesus Antonio Rios Castro in one round. The native of Las Vegas is the son of renowned trainer Jorge Capetillo, and the 17 year old was a three time WBC amateur champion. He will be in a bout scheduled for four rounds.
