Cobia Breedy headlines ProBox card in the DC area on May 1st
ProBox along with NoXcuse Promotions will return to Live! Casino & Hotel in Hanover Maryland on May 1st as part of the Contender Series featuring Cobia Breedy in the main event against Tsendbaatar Erdenebat. The co-main event will have Francois Scarboro Jr. facing Maxwell Montes.
Breedy (18-1, 8 KOs) will be going into this fight aiming to continue his streak of three knockout wins which took place in 2025. The 34 year old returned to the ring last year after an extended layoff, and in his last bout he scored a stoppage victory over Dexter Marques in his home country of Barbados. His lone loss was by split decision to Tugstsogt Nyambayar in 2020.
Erdenebat (14-0, 6 KOs) is originally from Mongolia and now resides in California. He has been on ProBox cards numerous times in his career, including his last two bouts against Humberto Galindo and most recently Abraham Montoya in November. The 29 year old southpaw wants to stay unbeaten and get in position to be a contender at super featherweight.

Scarboro (13-0, 9 KOs) is a staple at ProBox, as he signed a promotional deal with them last year. He resides in Cheverly, Maryland which is not far from Live Casino and he has fought at this venue five times including on January 30th when he defeated Brandon Valdes by decision. Scarboro wants to be in as many fights as possible this year as he would like to compete for a world title in the near future.
Montes (13-4-1, 7 KOs) hails from Nicaragua and had his first 16 bouts in his home city of Managua. He won his last bout in February against Luis May in Miami after losing to Austin Brooks last year in El Salvador. Montes is looking for the upset on May 1st against the fan favorite.
These two bouts top a card presented by Lamont Roach Jr. and Lamont Roach Sr. This is the second fight card that this father and son duo have promoted this year with the first one taking place on January 31st. Scheduled to be on this card will be Jordan Roach (7-0 2 KOs), Ben Johnson (7-0, 7 KOs), Travon Marshall (13-1, 10 KOs), and David Whitmire (11-0, 8 KOs). All four of these fighters were part of the last NoXcuse Promotions card on January 31st.
