Fighting in Photos – Santana gets decision over Chacon

NORFOLK – Yan Santana has aspirations of being a world  champion in the featherweight division. He had a test to go through at Scope Arena as Christian Cruz battled him through ten rounds. Santana did get the win by unanimous decision to stay unbeaten and get closer to a world title shot.

Santana (17-0, 13 KOs) used his boxing skill early in the bout to score rounds but Cruz was game throughout, and landed some power shots in the last few rounds to make the fight competitive. The fans in attendance gave more credit to Cruz than the judges as they felt he did enough to win the fight. However, all three judges scored the bout in favor of Santana.
