Fighting in Photos: Cortes stops Chevalier in 4
Andres Cortes (21-0, 12 KOs) used a come forward style to overwhelm Bryan Chevalier (20-2-1, 16 KOs), and with 48 seconds left in the fourth round the corner stopped the bout giving Cortes the win which earned him the WBO Inter-Continental title at super featherweight.
The Las Vegas native did not seem to be affected by the punches from Chevalier early in the bout and continued to walk within range to land hard shots. In the third round Cortes nearly scored a knockdown as Chevalier was rocked by a few right hands that had him stumbling around the ropes. More right hands from Cortes in the following round had Chevalier stumbling again, which forced the bout to be stopped.
